Instructions on how to use the heating can be located along with the boiler in a large cupboard within the kitchen. Ensure the boiler is switched on, the dial is directed at both the radiator and tap symbols and press the nearby Boost button to turn on the heating. Each blue light represents one hour and you can press this for a maximum of four hours at a time. If you’re still unsure, watch this handy video.
If you find the heating hasn’t fired up and you’re positive that you’ve carefully followed all of the above directions, simply contact the team in the office and one of our Maintenance team can promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

All properties have a hairdryer to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!
As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the house and restock your linen. This is will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.
A small number of toilet rolls and miniature toiletries are left to get you started on your first night. The Tesco Express located on the Dublin Road as you head towards town would be your closest location to stock up on supplies.
freshen up
You’ll find the TV in the kitchen where you’ll have access to Freeview channels as well as a small number of streaming apps such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and YouTube. Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!
*If you forget, don’t worry - just contact the team in the office and we’ll have a member of staff head down and log you out.
If you’re staying in our Family Apartment #A, you may also need to use the sofa bed in the evenings. We’ve pulled together a quick video tutorial to show you exactly how this operates so you can get settled down with no stress!

You will find the iron and ironing board in either the hall cupboard or the wardrobe. A small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink for use in the washing machine. This is not a tumble dryer so you will need to use the air dryer to hang your wet laundry.
wash, dry, iron, repeat
All bedrooms have hanging rails or wardrobes where you can store those items you want to keep neat and tidy. Some apartments also have a cupboard in the hall in which you’re welcome to store your luggage.
neat and tidy
Having access to a private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ve everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day. The wine and the crisps? A gift from us to you - enjoy!
As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Pull up a chair, take a seat at the breakfast bar and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.
Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall using the large red switch. Adjust knobs for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly.
Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you clean any crockery, pots or pans you might have used and store these away neatly. Our Housekeeping team will take care of the rest!

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.
If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the larger outdoor bins to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. Take a right when you exit the property - just walk a short distance until you find an avenue on your right with large, communal dumpsters where you can pop your excess.
Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
