To turn on the central heating, follow the simple steps shown in this video. Please bear in mind it may take a little time for the house to warm up.

If you find the heating isn’t firing up, check the boiler (located in the kitchen cupboard) and ensure this is switched on and not showing any errors. If you’re sure it’s not working as it should, simply contact the team in the office and one of our Maintenance team can promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

All properties have a hairdryer to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!

As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the house and restock your linen. This is will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.

A small number of toilet rolls and miniature toiletries are left to get you started on your first night. The Russell’s located on Botanic Avenue would be your closest location to stock up on supplies.

The TV in the lounge has Freeview capability and is equipped with a number of streaming apps.

Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!

You will find the washing machine in-house and a small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink. The iron and ironing board are usually located in one of the wardrobes along with the air dryer on which to hang your wet laundry.

Both bedrooms have plenty of space to store away your luggage and hang up those items you want to keep neat and tidy.

The spacious, private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ll have everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day.

As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Pull up a stool, take a seat at the breakfast bar and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.

Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall - the red fuse light will illuminate. Adjust knobs for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly.

Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you clean any crockery, glassware, pots and pans you might have used.

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.

If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the communal outdoor bin to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. You’ll find this out the front, cross over the street and you will find the bin in the alleyway to the left.

Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
