settling in

So you’re checked in. What next?!

We want you to feel at home right away. Scroll through the information below to learn more about the apartment and your stay in general.

Each apartment has its own individual wi-fi router for maximum connectivity. Locate this in the lounge and you’ll find the network and password displayed.

If you encounter any issues with the internet, we would kindly ask that you contact the team in the office so they can investigate further.

The central heating is controlled via a thermostat on the lounge wall. Simply turn the dial around to 25-30° and the heating will fire up.

If you find yourself without heating or hot water, please first check the boiler, located in the hallway utility cupboard (or the far left kitchen cupboard for Apt. #3). This should be switched on at the mains socket at all times and not showing any error codes. If you still require assistance, simply let us know and Maintenance will promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

All properties have a hairdryer to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!

As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the house and restock your linen. This is will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.

A small number of toilet rolls and miniature toiletries are left to get you started on your first night. Russells Food & Drink on Botanic Avenue would be your closest location to stock up on supplies.

The open-plan lounge is the perfect place to spend an evening. Our Smart TVs are equipped with Freeview channel capability and a number of streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney and BBC iPlayer.

Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!

*If you forget, don’t worry - just contact the team in the office and we’ll have a member of staff head down and log you out.

You will find the washing machine, iron, ironing board and air dryer in the hallway utility room in both Apts 1 & 2. In Apt 3, this is in the far left hand kitchen cupboard while the latter two are kept in behind the kitchen door. A small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink. This is a washer only and not a tumble dryer so you will need to use the air dryer to hang your wet laundry.

wash, dry, iron, repeat

All bedrooms are equipped with either large free-standing wardrobes or built-ins giving you plenty of hanging space to store away your belongings during your stay.

neat and tidy

The well-equipped, private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ll have everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day.

As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Take a seat at the dining table and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.

Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall - the red fuse light will illuminate. Adjust knobs for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly. The hob is touch operated. Select the ring required and increase/decrease temperature via the plus and minus buttons.

Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you pop your crockery in the dishwasher and clean any pots and pans you might have used.

cook up a storm

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.

If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the larger outdoor bin to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. You’ll find this in front of the railings at the property’s entrance.

Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
