The central heating is controlled via the boiler itself. Open the kitchen cupboard shown here and ensure the far right dial is turned to both the tap and the radiator. You must ensure this is turned back to the tap only through the night and when you head out of the apartment, as excessive use will be charged.
If you find yourself without heating or hot water, please first check the boiler is switched on at the wall at all times and not showing any error codes. If you still require assistance, simply let us know and Maintenance will promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

All properties have a hairdryer to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!
As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the house and restock your linen. This is will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.
A small number of toilet rolls and miniature toiletries are left to get you started on your first night. Tesco Metro on University Road would be your closest location to stock up on supplies.

The Smart TV has Freeview built-in and is equipped with a number of streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney and BBC iPlayer.
Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!
*If you forget, don’t worry - just contact the team in the office and we’ll have a member of staff head down and log you out.

You will find the washing machine in the far left cupboard of the kitchen. The iron is under the kitchen sink and the and the ironing board should be behind the bathroom door. A small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink. This is a washer only and not a tumble dryer so you will need to use the air dryer to hang your wet laundry.

The bedroom is equipped with a large, open wardrobe with plenty of space to store away your belongings.
If you need the sofa bed, pillows should be on top of this wardrobe and you’ll find the duvet inside the bench at the end of the bed!
neat and tidy
The well-equipped, private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ll have everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day.
As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Take a seat at the dining table and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.
Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall. Adjust knobs for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly.
Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you wash up your crockery and clean any pots and pans you might have used.

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.
If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the larger outdoor bin to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. You’ll find these within the car park area outside the main entrance.
Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
