If you encounter any issues with the internet, ensure this is switched on at the wall - you’ll find it located to the right of the bedside in the primary bedroom. Otherwise, we would kindly ask that you contact the team in the office so they can investigate further.

The central heating is on a timer and must not be adjusted by guests.

If you find yourself without heating or hot water, please first check the boiler (located in the utility room to the rear of the kitchen). Mind your step on the way down! This should be switched on at the wall at all times and not showing any error codes. If you still require assistance, simply let us know and Maintenance will promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

The house has two hairdryers to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!

As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the house and restock your linen. This is will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.

freshen up

scrub-a-dub-dub

We’ve recently made the transition to refillable toiletries and you’ll find the soothing, spa-like scent of lavender and geranium Faith in Nature body wash and shampoo in each of the three shower rooms. These should be kept topped up at all times, but if you find you’ve run low, just give our team a shout and we’ll arrange for this to be remedied!

You’ll find plenty of space to chill out in the large, cosy, living space. Why not curl up with a good book from our stocked library spot in the corner? We just ask you return this before checking out so our future guests can make use of these too.

The 55” Smart TV is equipped with Freeview capability as well as a number of streaming apps such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer. Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!

*If you forget, don’t worry - just contact the team in the office and we’ll have a member of staff head down and log you out.

Depending on the make-up of your group, you may also need to use the sofa bed in the evenings. We’ve pulled together a quick video tutorial to show you exactly how this operates so you can get settled down with no stress!

You will find the washing machine, laundry basket, iron and ironing board in the utility room. A small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink. This is a washer only and not a tumble dryer so you will need to use the air dryer to hang your wet laundry.

The bedrooms are all equipped with drawer or wardrobe space to pack away your belongings and the utility room to the rear of the kitchen is the ideal space if you want to store away larger luggage items.

neat and tidy

The well-equipped, private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ll have everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day.

As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Take a seat at the boutique dining table and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.

Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall - the red fuse light will illuminate. Adjust dials for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly. The hob is gas so you’ll need to hold down the specific knob to ignite the flame while also turning this.

Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you pop your crockery in the dishwasher and clean any pots and pans you might have used.

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.

If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the larger outdoor bin to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. You’ll find this in front of the property’s entrance.

Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
