If you encounter any issues with the internet, please ensure the mini router is switched on at the wall! It’s located behind the TV unit, to the right. If this is powered on, but you still have no signal, we would kindly ask that you contact the team in the office so they can investigate further.

The central heating is controlled via the thermostat on the lounge wall (behind the white armchair). Simply press the power button until the radiator and tap symbol both appear on screen. To adjust the temperature, press the radiator button, followed by the arrows to increase or decrease accordingly.
If you find yourself without heating or hot water, please first check the boiler, located in the hallway cupboard (to the left of the bathroom). This should be switched on at the wall at all times and not showing any error codes. If you still require assistance, simply let us know and Maintenance will promptly attend.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

All properties have a hairdryer to hand and we provide one set of towels per guest to save you some room in your suitcase!
As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided. However, if you are staying with us for more than seven days, someone will attend to turnover the apartment and restock your linen. This will be pre-arranged with the team in the office.
A small number of toilet rolls are left to get you started on your first night. Tesco Express on York Drive (3 mins on foot) would be your closest location to stock up on supplies.
freshen up
scrub-a-dub-dub
We’ve recently made the transition to refillable toiletries and you’ll find the soothing, spa-like scent of lavender and geranium Faith in Nature body wash and shampoo in every shower room. These should be kept topped up at all times, but if you find you’ve run low, just give our team a shout and we’ll arrange for this to be remedied!
You’ll find plenty of space to chill out in the cosy living space. The TV is equipped with a number of streaming apps such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer. Use your own account details to sign into these and we would just gently remind you to sign out before departing!
*If you forget, don’t worry - just contact the team in the office and we’ll have a member of staff head down and log you out.
Depending on the make-up of your group, you may also need to use the sofa bed in the evenings. We’ve pulled together a quick video tutorial to show you exactly how this operates so you can get settled down with no stress! You’ll find the duvet and pillows for this in the bedroom wardrobe.

You will find the washing machine, laundry basket, iron and ironing board in the hallway cupboard. A small number of laundry capsules can be found below the kitchen sink. This is a washer only and not a tumble dryer so you will need to use the air dryer to hang your wet laundry.
wash, dry, iron, repeat
The bedroom is equipped with a large wardrobe with plenty of space to store away your belongings and the hallway cupboard to the left of the bathroom is the ideal space to store away any luggage should you wish to keep this out of the way!
neat and tidy
The well-equipped, private kitchen is always a hit with our guests. Here you’ll have everything you need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal or a warm breakfast on a cold winter’s day.
As we’re self-serviced accommodation, we provide utensils, cookware and crockery, but the cupboards and the fridge are left bare for you to stock with what you need. Take a seat at the dining table and relax over your morning coffee before setting off for a full day of sights or shopping.
Ensure the cooker is switched on at the wall - the red fuse light will illuminate. Adjust knobs for temperature and function to use the oven accordingly.
Before you leave the house on the morning of your departure, we simply ask that you pop your crockery in the dishwasher and clean any pots and pans you might have used.
cook up a storm
Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal, indoor bins.
If that’s the case, we would kindly ask that you remove this to the larger, communal bins to prevent any spillages or odours in-house. You’ll find these downstairs on the ground floor - follow us there!
Replacement bin-bags will be under the sink in the kitchen and we thank you for your kind co-operation.
