If you encounter any issues with the internet, we would kindly ask that you contact the team in the office so they can investigate further.

The heating is controlled via a centralised thermostat that is off-limits to guests. To control your own room temperature or to turn this fully on and off, you’ll need to manually adjust the valves on the end of any individual radiators in your room.

Too toasty?! On the rare occasion that the city does see a spectacular summer’s day, we do also have a small number of fans available. Contact the office to request one but, please note, this is subject to availability.

We’ve recently made the transition to refillable toiletries and you’ll find the soothing, spa-like scent of lavender and geranium Faith in Nature body wash and shampoo in every en-suite shower room. These should be kept topped up at all times, but if you find you’ve run low, just give our team a shout and we’ll arrange for this to be remedied.

All rooms have a hairdryer to hand to save you a little room in your suitcase!

scrub-a-dub-dub

There are no laundry facilities on site - the closest self-service launderette and dry cleaners is only a short walk away on Botanic Avenue.

An iron and ironing board is located within the self-service area on the ground floor and is available for all guests to use. We do ask that, once you’ve finished with this, that it’s returned to this spot, ensuring it’s always accessible to whoever might need it.

wash, dry, iron, repeat

As we’re self-serviced accommodation and not a hotel, daily housekeeping is not provided and one set of towels per guest will be left in the room for your arrival.

However, our team keep a stocked supply of fresh towels in the shelves located within the self-service area. Help yourself any time you need a top-up, but please be environmentally mindful and re-use linens where possible.

Any used towels you no longer wish to keep in-room can simply be popped in the labelled laundry basket just beside the shelves and Housekeeping will collect these daily.

freshen up

We know what it’s like; sometimes only a hot meal will do! In the absence of full kitchen facilities we’ve set up a tiny-but-mighty self-service area on the ground floor.

You’ll find a microwave, wooden cutlery and plenty of condiments at your disposal. Crockery is in the cupboards below. Please rinse any used dishes and pop these into the drop-off box located on the first floor landing.

Remember, this is a shared facility; ensure you respect your neighbours and tidy up after yourself! Use the cleaning supplies on the shelf behind you to mop up any food spills. General waste and recycling bins are located directly adjacent.

cook up a storm

Each room contains a small, retro style fridge with a freezer compartment for you to store everything from your morning juice to your midnight snacks. We ask that you respect both our Housekeeping team and our future guests by clearing out any food or drink prior to departing.

Please also ensure any spills within the unit are cleaned up immediately to prevent lasting damage or unfortunate odours!

chill out

Although it can sometimes feel like it, we aren’t a hotel so some of our processes will be different. As daily Housekeeping isn’t a feature of self-serviced accommodation, it may be the case that you start to accumulate more rubbish than fits in your personal bins.

If that happens, we would kindly ask that you dispose of this in the communal space downstairs to prevent any spillages or odours in-room.

On the ground floor, within the self-service area you’ll find a large General Waste bin and three recycling caddies where you can separate your waste accordingly. Our team will keep an eye on this daily to ensure a regular collection.
